About

Vidushi Sood, MD, is a UW Health endocrinologist and a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for patients with a range of hormone-related disorders and bone health issues.

Dr. Sood commonly treats hormonal conditions originating in the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. These can include diabetes, thyroid and pituitary disease, beta thyroid disease (genetic condition that affects hormones), ovarian and testicular disease and bone health disorders. She has special clinical interests in osteoporosis (bone weakening) and polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS (ovaries produce unusually high levels of male sex hormones, which can make getting pregnant challenging).

Dr. Sood personalizes care to meet each patient’s needs. She listens carefully to understand their concerns and goals and offers education about conditions and treatment options. She takes a comprehensive, holistic approach to care, addressing all her patients’ concerns to improve their health and wellness. She enjoys helping people feel better and finds it particularly rewarding to help people sleep better or become pregnant, for example.

Outside of work, Dr. Sood enjoys reading, traveling, walking and spending time in nature.

I enjoy talking to my patients, taking care of their concerns and helping them feel better.
