Vanessa Rudy MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist in the UW Health Voice and Swallowing Clinics. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her master’s degree at Northwestern University. She has experience working with adult patients with dysphagia in long- and short-term acute care as well as outpatient settings. Special areas of practice include evaluation and treatment of dysphagia for patients with tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation. Vanessa is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, for which she serves as a STEP mentor for undergraduate students and clinical fellows, is an active affiliate of the Special Interest Group for Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders, and is a receiver of multiple ACE Awards for commitment to continuing education. She is also an associate of the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association and enjoys attending and presenting at conferences for speech-language pathologists in the medical field.
