Dr. Qazi has a medical degree from Avalon University School of Medicine in Willemstad, Curaçao. After completing his education, he completed his family medicine residency at The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria in Peoria, Illinois and his sports medicine fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Before coming to the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, Tauqeer worked at RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey as a primary care sports medicine physician.
Tauqeer’s specific professional interests include acute injuries including dislocations, joint injuries, non-surgical fractures, sprains and strains; diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, overuse injuries such as stress fractures and tendonitis.
