About

Sue Wilhelm, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant in cardiology. She cares for patients with a variety of heart conditions and has a special interest in heart disease, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease and stenting.

Sue is committed to building strong, lasting relationships with her patients. She listens carefully and finds that patients can often tell her what’s wrong when given the chance. With compassion, honesty and a little humor, she strives to put people at ease while providing the level of care she would want for her own family.

Sue educates patients about their condition and treatment options and encourages them to participate in making decisions about their care. She is most motivated by the opportunity to get to know her patients and to help them get back to the lives they love.

As a member of the UW Health team, Sue appreciates the camaraderie and collaboration of the multidisciplinary group of experts. She feels that their shared desire to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with the best outcomes makes every day better — for both her and her patients.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys spending time with her family and playing pickleball.

I want my patients to know that they matter to me and that I’ll do everything within my power to help them.
