Sarah Smith, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. Sarah sees patients for a broad spectrum of general surgical concerns, including superficial skin diseases such as abscesses, cysts, lipomas (benign tumors made of fat cells) and other skin lesions. Sarah specializes in assisting with minimally invasive surgery to treat a variety of digestive system conditions. Understanding that she meets people in difficult moments, Sarah strives to empower her patients to make the right choice for themselves. Dedicated to ensuring her patients' comfort, she takes time to discuss their available options and talks through every phase of surgery and recovery. Sarah partners with the surgical department to help her patients achieve the health outcomes they desire. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters. I hope to empower my patients to make the best choice for themselves. The most rewarding part of my career is seeing my patients make improvements in their daily lives.
