About

Sara O'Donnell, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. She cares for patients with acute (sudden onset) conditions, such as knee pain and strep throat, provides preventive health services, including physicals and treats patients who have chronic disease including diabetes, heart failure or hypertension.

Sara’s clinical interests are geriatrics and women's health. She works with transgender patients to help them find the right contraception and to treat other medical conditions. In addition, she helps older patients manage chronic diseases and age gracefully.

Her care philosophy is to listen to her patient’s concerns and provide the best options to meet their needs.

Sara conducts research on women's pelvic floor health and urinary incontinence.

In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time with her children and dog, teaching workout classes and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

The best part of taking care of patients is seeing them for years and knowing their medical needs, interests and families.
