About

Parul Agarwal, MD, is a UW Health transplant hepatologist and associate professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Agarwal provides care to patients with a variety of diseases and disorders of the liver such as cirrhosis, hepatitis and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). She has a special interest in liver cancer and caring for patients after liver transplantation.

Approaching patient-doctor relationships as a partnership, Dr. Agarwal works closely with patients to create care plans that best fit their unique preferences and needs. She listens to learn what they are experiencing and what is important to them and offers education and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their care.

Dr. Agarwal finds helping patients through their health journey endlessly rewarding. She strives to add more quality years to every patient’s life and is excited by the recent medical advancements that make this possible.

In her free time, Dr. Agarwal enjoys hiking and practicing yoga.

My goal is to restore longevity and quality of life for every patient.
