Nathan Lepp, MD, MPH

Nathan Lepp, MD, is a UW Health Kids neonatologist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Lepp provides comprehensive care for newborns and infants spending time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with a full range of health conditions. He commonly cares for preterm infants and babies with heart and lung conditions.

Dr. Lepp’s clinical focus is on improving patient outcomes and experiences in neonatal and pediatric transport. As associate medical director of the Pediatric Neonatal Transport Team, he works with other hospitals transferring sick infants to UW Health facilities for care.

Dr. Lepp uses a patient-centered approach to care, listening carefully to each family’s needs and concerns. He is also a strong advocate for equitable access to neonatal care and works with nonprofit organizations lobbying for NICU patients on the local and state levels.

Outside of work, Dr. Lepp enjoys traveling, hiking, learning new languages, cooking, baking and spending time outdoors.

Being able to care for sick babies, potentially add 80 years or more of life by your intervention at this moment in time, is pretty amazing.
