Dr. Pozniak is an Emeritus Professor of Radiology, and former Chief of the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Radiology. He received his BA from the University of Illinois, his MD from the University of Guadalajara, completed his internship and residency at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston, Ill., and then completed an abdominal imaging fellowship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. He has been a University of Wisconsin faculty member since 1984.

Dr. Pozniak has authored over 60 publications in CT and ultrasound. He is also the co-author/ editor of the textbook Clinical Doppler Ultrasound, currently in its 3rd edition. It has been translated into 6 languages. He is currently spearheading the effort to develop a national standard for CT scan protocols to serve as the foundation for successful AI.
