About
Molly Magen, DO, is a UW Health geriatrician who specializes in treating adults aged 65 or older. She’s also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Magen works in the Memory Assessment Clinic. She diagnoses and treats dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and geriatric syndromes. These include conditions that are common in older adults, such as memory loss, falls and sleep disorders.
Working closely with patients’ family members and caregivers, she listens and tailors care to unique interests, abilities and challenges. Dr. Magen eases concern and suggests ways to improve memory or slow memory loss. She evaluates memory changes and other symptoms to develop personalized care plans. She also helps assess and manage medical therapies for patients who take multiple prescription medications.
Dr. Magen collaborates with other specialists to determine the best treatment options. Her goal is to keep people independent, living as they want, for as long as possible.
In her free time, Dr. Magen enjoys playing on a local rugby team.
I get to know each person as a whole and keep that in mind as we develop a good plan. It’s great to see people leave the clinic feeling better than when they walked in.
