About

Melissa Ricker-Bouche, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor and geriatrician. She enjoys seeing patients in all stages of life: Newborns, children, teens and adults. She has special training to care for the unique needs of older adults.

Dr. Ricker-Bouche is also a clinical assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.

Dr. Ricker-Bouche treats sudden illnesses such as flu, sore throat and ear infections. She also treats minor injuries and offers vaccinations, annual physicals and well-checks. She helps people manage chronic (ongoing) conditions. These include high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, arthritis and heart trouble.

Dr. Ricker-Bouche also sees patients with memory loss, dementia, mental health issues and mobility (movement) problems. She listens to their concerns and talks with their caregivers too. She recommends the proper tests, medications and support to fit each patient’s needs. She works to improve their quality of life and preserve their independence whenever possible.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Ricker-Bouche enjoys spending time with family, traveling, watching football, working on home renovation projects and trying new recipes.

I hope my patients feel heard and that we address all their concerns. I want each person to feel happy, healthy and safe.
