About

Megan Sokup, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant. She cares for patients with advanced kidney diseases who require organ transplant surgery.

Megan treats various kidney and pancreatic conditions, including late-stage organ failure. She guides patients who are investigating whether they’re candidates for organ transplant surgery. Megan also helps patients who have had solid organ transplants in the past and are currently managing kidney disease or related medical conditions.

Megan provides high-level patient care, moving seamlessly among specialties. She works with each patient to develop a treatment plan centered around their medical needs and health goals. Although she works in a specialty clinic, she takes a whole-person approach to care that focuses on organ health as well as other symptoms or conditions. Megan gets to know each patient personally and involves them in their treatment and care.

In her free time, Megan enjoys being outdoors and playing ultimate Frisbee.

It’s rewarding to see patients who are incredibly sick before a transplant as they heal over time. They feel so much better and their life is completely changed.
