Rita German received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency at the University of Chicago. She did her fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. She is now an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Medicine at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her clinical interests lie in optimizing care for patients with alcohol-associated liver disease and alcohol use disorder.
