About

Marcy Weidkamp, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner in pediatric gastroenterology. Marcy cares for children who have all types of gastrointestinal conditions. She commonly treats children who have various feeding challenges, including those with feeding tubes, supplemental support, constipation and motility disorders.

Marcy works with babies who have just left the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and their families to provide nutritional support. She enjoys the challenges of helping care for babies and kids, and the rewards of seeing positive outcomes.

Marcy takes a team approach in working with children and their families. She knows that there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach — especially with children. If something isn’t working in the care plan, she takes the time to talk through the challenges with the child and the family and make needed tweaks.

In her personal life, Marcy enjoys spending time with her three kids, including watching them participate in baseball and other activities.

Figuring out what works best for each patient and family and then partnering together in their care is really rewarding.
