Luke Hillman, MD, is a gastroenterologist at UW Health and an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Hillman diagnoses and treats a wide array of digestive system (gastrointestinal) conditions. He sees patients who are experiencing acid reflux, heartburn or trouble swallowing due to esophageal disease. Eating difficulties can dramatically take away from a person’s quality of life. That’s why Dr. Hillman is driven to help patients get relief from their symptoms as quickly as possible.

With a patient-centered approach to care, Dr. Hillman gives people his full attention and listens carefully to their experiences. He educates them about their condition and treatment options so they can share in making decisions about their care.

Outside of work, Dr. Hillman enjoys golfing, traveling, hiking and birdwatching.

Difficulty swallowing strongly impacts daily life. It’s my job is to make you feel better and enjoy eating again.
