Dr. Lonie Salkowski is a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Section of Breast Imaging and a member of the UW Health Breast Center.

She completed a BS in biology and chemistry at Mount Mary College and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI, where she also completed a breast imaging fellowship.

Dr. Salkowski specializes in breast imaging.

Her interest in teaching at all levels from medical students to colleagues has developed into an area of research interest. Through these experiences, she became increasing interested in curriculum development and the mechanisms by which students learn and assimilate concepts.
