Lee Dresang, MD

About

Lee Dresang, MD, is a family medicine doctor at UW Health and a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He sees children and adults for routine health concerns as well as diagnoses and treats acute and chronic illness. Fluent in Spanish, he proudly serves the Latinx community.

With a clinical interest in pregnancy and newborn care, Dr. Dresang is skilled in a variety of procedures, including prenatal ultrasounds. He also provides contraceptive, reproductive and gynecological care such as tubal ligations, colposcopies, intrauterine devices (IUDs) and vasectomies.

Dr. Dresang’s care philosophy is to listen and empower his patients. During each clinical interaction, he tries to understand a patient’s concerns and answers questions to help them meet their treatment goals.

His research focuses on making sure patients who have high blood pressure during pregnancy receive appropriate follow-up care.

In his free time, Dr. Dresang enjoys hiking, spending time with his loved ones and walking the dog with his family.

One of the things I enjoy most about family medicine is seeing people over time and developing relationships. I enjoy getting to know my patients in the context of their family and community.
