About

Leanne Mansfield, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric rheumatologist and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for children who have a variety of inflammatory conditions affecting the bones, muscles, joints and internal organs.

Dr. Mansfield treats a wide range of autoinflammatory and autoimmune (overactive immune system) conditions in children and adolescents. These may include lupus (long-term disease that affects many parts of the body), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (joint swelling and stiffness), PFAPA (periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis, adenitis) and juvenile dermatomyositis (muscle inflammation and skin rash). Her clinical interest is in autoinflammatory diseases.

Dr. Mansfield enjoys working with children and helping them thrive. Her goal is for every child to return to playing, learning and having fun as quickly as possible. She takes a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on the goals of her patients and their families to develop personalized care plans.

In addition to her clinical practice and teaching role, Dr. Mansfield conducts clinical research on autoinflammatory diseases.

In her free time, Dr. Mansfield enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.

My goal is to empower each patient to live their life to the fullest.
