About

Lauren Knoche, PA, is a UW Health internal medicine physician assistant. Lauren provides care for patients over the age of 18 with a variety of common health concerns, as well as chronic health conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol).

Lauren offers preventive care and treats people with skin lesions, HIV and substance use disorders. She also performs basic in-office procedures such as skin biopsies.

Lauren prioritizes making her patients feel safe and heard in her clinical space. She listens carefully to understand their background, concerns and health goals. She also takes time to explain complicated medical terms in a way that patients can understand and that is meaningful and applicable to their lives.

Lauren enjoys internal medicine because there is always more to learn and ways to keep growing her skills. She is excited to see what future developments come about that will enable her to take even better care of her patients.

My philosophy is that patients are the experts on themselves. Combined with my medical expertise, we work together to come up with a good plan for their care.
