About

Laura Holt, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatrician and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She treats a wide array of physical and mental health conditions in children from birth through adolescence and young adulthood.

Dr. Holt’s clinical work ranges from routine well-child checkups to diagnosis and treatment of both common and chronic illnesses, injuries and diseases in children through each stage of development. She treats everyday illnesses such as sore throats, colds and ear infections, as well as chronic pediatric conditions like asthma and obesity. Dr. Holt also provides care for children with mental health concerns, like anxiety and depression.

In her practice, Dr. Holt works to build strong connections with her patients and their families. As their care needs change, she works with families to find the best treatment options and supports a shared decision-making approach to care.

In her free time, Dr. Holt enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and biking.

I’ve always enjoyed working with kids. I love seeing them grow from infancy into their teen years and young adulthood.
