Laura Kwitek, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She treats a full spectrum of women’s health conditions. Laura helps women through all stages of pregnancy, including family planning, counseling and postpartum. She also provides gynecologic exams, sexually transmitted disease (STD) screenings, infertility counseling and menopause care. Her clinical interests include cervical cancer screening and birth control management. Laura’s care philosophy is to focus on each patient’s individual needs. Taking a team approach, she includes her patients when determining a care plan. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, running and cycling. She also likes to read and watch movies and TV shows.  I always knew I wanted to go into the medical field. After working for several years as a labor and delivery nurse, I moved into the nurse practitioner role to further make a difference in the lives of my patients.
