About

Kristin Casey, NP, is a UW Health Kids pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in hematology and oncology. Kristin cares for children receiving chemotherapy for all types of cancer. She provides specialized care for brain and spinal cord tumors.

In addition to general cancer care, Kristin treats pediatric patients in UW Health’s Neuro-Oncology Clinic. Her multispecialty team delivers comprehensive care for cancer and related conditions or complications. She also works in the Caring for Life Clinic. This clinic is dedicated to caring for cancer survivors up to age 25 who are cancer-free but can still face unique health risks and challenges.

When meeting new patients, Kristin provides knowledge, support and guidance through difficult times. She considers how siblings, family dynamics, schoolwork or challenges can add stress or affect their treatments. In addition to evaluating medical conditions and histories, she considers personal interests, concerns and goals. She involves patients and families in decisions and connects them with information and resources they need to best care for their child. She helps patients return to more normal routines and the things they enjoy doing.

In her free time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her family and spending time outdoors.

I love working with kids and seeing their resilience. My hope is to see them in my survivor clinic one day, growing up, playing, thriving and just living their best lives.
