About

Dr. Kevin Patel is a UW Health gastroenterologist and spends most of his clinical time treating general gastroenterology (GI) conditions and performing upper endoscopies and colonoscopies.

Dr. Patel specializes in managing hereditary GI cancer syndromes, such as Lynch syndrome (higher risk of cancer) and polyposis syndrome  (higher risk of polyps). He also sees patients at increased risk for pancreatic cancer due to their family history or a gene mutation.

Dr. Patel decided to become a physician in college because he loves working with and helping people. He views each patient as unique and enjoys helping them manage their medical conditions.

When he’s not working, Dr. Patel likes spending time with his two young daughters and trying new restaurants with his wife.
