About

Keith Knurr is a physical therapist in the Sports Rehabilitation Clinic. He specializes in the rehabilitation of people who have suffered injuries to their hips, legs, knees and ankles – particularly injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus (knee cartilage).

Keith is board-certified in sports physical therapy and licensed by the state of Wisconsin and completed the UW Health sports physical therapy residency program.

With great passion, Keith researches the biomechanics of the knee – how it moves and functions – and how the muscles perform and recover after ACL reconstruction surgery, particularly when it comes to running. He is also interested in researching the long-term effects of knee injuries in athletes.

As a sports enthusiast himself, Keith enjoys waterskiing, wakesurfing, snowboarding, running and cycling.

It’s my goal to help injured athletes heal and return safely to their sport – at their prior level of performance or even better.
