Kaitlin J. Haggerty, NP

  • Allergy, Asthma and Immunology

Kaitlin Haggerty is board certified as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She practices full-time as a Nurse Practitioner at UW Health Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Clinic. Kaitlin obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her quality improvement project standardized care for adult patients with anxiety-induced non-cardiac chest pain. She enhanced patient care by integrating a validated anxiety screening tool into the care of this population, guiding providers’ prescription options with safe drug profiles, and facilitating closed-loop communication between urgent care, behavioral health and primary care to advocate for continuity of patient care. She constructed patient education including signs and symptoms of anxiety, stress reduction techniques, information on how to establish a primary care provider and behavioral health therapist, and community-based resources across Wisconsin counties.
