About

Joseph Tupta, PT, OCS, is a physical therapist at UW Health. He treats patients with surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic conditions and sports-related injuries.

Joe’s clinical interests include working with patients after sports-related head injuries who have post-concussion syndrome. He also specializes in treating running injuries and patients with chronic hip pain that may or may not benefit from surgical intervention.

His care philosophy is to spend time with his patients to learn more about their needs. He also conducts research on the type of physical tests a patient should be able to successfully complete after arthroscopic hip surgery before returning to sports and other activities.

In his free time, Joe enjoys cooking, eating and running.

I try to partner with patients in a way that empowers them to take control of their health. We build from what they already do and help them return to the activities that they are missing.
