About

Jordan Alward, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant. He is part of a team of cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) specialists who diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders.

Jordan cares for patients with heart rhythm abnormalities such as atrial fibrillation, or Afib (a quivering or irregular heartbeat), and other conditions involving heart rhythms that are either too fast, too slow or irregular. Because many of his patients have complicated conditions and medical challenges, Jordan collaborates with other providers to provide personalized, comprehensive care. These providers can include primary care doctors, pharmacists, oncologists and subspecialists.

Patient education is a priority for Jordan. He teaches patients about their conditions and how to treat their illnesses. He explains complicated procedures in easy-to-understand terms to help patients make informed decisions about their care. Jordan also helps patients understand and manage mechanical devices such as pacemakers or defibrillators.

Jordan’s approach to care is patient-centered. He enjoys getting to know his patients and personalizing their treatment plans to match their needs and goals. He also takes time to address questions and concerns as care needs change.

In his free time, Jordan enjoys running, playing strategy games and playing outdoors with his kids.

I love listening to patients and sharing advances like a new pacemaker lead, which may not sound exciting, but it's fantastic for outcomes.
