As a certified nurse-midwife, Jodi Wagner addresses primary health care needs for women with an emphasis on health promotion, education and disease prevention. For maternity clients, nurse-midwives provide individualized care and attendance throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period.
Certified nurse-midwives are registered nurses who have completed their Master's degrees and received certification from the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Births are attended by the UW Health nurse-midwives at the Birthing Center at Meriter Hospital.
