About

Jillian Bodden Hoenisch, NP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in geriatrics at UW Health. She treats acute and chronic health conditions of older adults in geriatrics primary care. She works with the Perioperative Optimization Clinic, where she performs pre-surgical assessments to reduce the risk of complications with surgery. Jillian also works with the Memory Assessment Clinic to treat patients with mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

In her practice, Jillian strives to help her patients enjoy high-quality lives. She places a strong focus on preventive medicine and healthy lifestyle habits. She takes the time to get to know people and their specific health and lifestyle goals so that she can support them in achieving those goals.

Outside of work, Jillian likes spending time outdoors, running, hiking and walking her dogs. She also enjoys being with her family and friends.

In our current system, we sometimes have people who are on a lot of medications. One of my favorite things is to help people taper down medications that may be causing negative side effects that outweigh their benefits.
