Angele (preferred name) received a Bachelor of Social Work at Western Illinois University in 2011 and a Master of Social Work at St. Ambrose University in 2012 with a concentration in Empowerment. Angele has worked in several social work settings, from providing therapy to children in an intense outpatient setting to emergency room social work to outpatient clinical therapy. Angele is trained in a variety of modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Angele has a special interest in working with trauma and trauma-related disorders, including PTSD and dissociative disorders. Angele also enjoys serving the LGBTQIA community, the chronic illness community, and other marginalized populations. Angele believes strongly in a holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing the significance of mental health on one’s overall wellness.
