Dr. Jennifer Racz is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Division of Surgical Oncology, a member of the UW Health Breast Center and is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

She specializes in complex surgical oncology with a focus on breast cancer and cutaneious oncology (including melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers). She provides a wide range of including lumpectomy or partial mastectomy with oncoplastic approaches, simple, skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomy, skin cancer wide local excision, sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary and inguinal lymph node dissections. She also specializes in neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer treatment as well as benign diseases of the breast.

She completed her MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University Canada, London, Ontario and earned her medical degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Racz completed a residency followed by a fellowship in complex surgical oncology at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. She is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Research and publications

Dr. Racz’s research focuses on patient-reported outcomes and process improvement in cancer care delivery. She is also interested in optimization of the electronic health record through her role on the informatics team. She is an active participant in clinical trials within the UW Health Breast Center and Carbone Cancer Center.
