About

Jane Pearson, MD, is a UW Health preventive cardiologist (heart doctor) who treats patients at risk of experiencing a heart attack or stroke. She treats people with high cholesterol, hypertension (high blood pressure) and other health-related risk factors.  Dr. Pearson also is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

In preventive cardiology, Dr. Pearson helps her patients learn to make healthy choices to prolong their lives. She advises them on eating the right foods, making time for exercise and other lifestyle changes that can keep their heart healthy. She also treats patients with complicated high cholesterol or high blood pressure disorders.

The most rewarding part of her job is when she sees patients following the care plan they have implemented together. Dr. Pearson understands each patient is different and has their own motivations and goals. She is excited for her patients when they have lower blood pressure and cholesterol and when they see the benefits of exercise and a healthy diet.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Pearson enjoys riding her bike and being outdoors.

My hope for every single patient is that they understand how important it is to invest time and energy into taking care of themselves.
