About

Ian Koszewski, MD, FACS, FARS, is a UW Health otolaryngologist — or ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor — who specializes in rhinology and skull base surgery. He’s also an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Surgery.

As a rhinologist, Dr. Koszewski diagnoses and treats people with nose and sinus disorders. These include frequent sinus infections, thick drainage, inflammation, facial pressure and pain that impacts their ability to function well in daily life. He also treats serious medical conditions affecting the area beneath the brain at the base of the skull. These include cancerous and noncancerous tumors that pass through and beyond the sinuses. Dr. Koszewski partners with neurosurgeons to treat these tumors and other issues at the skull base.

During initial visits, Dr. Koszewski talks with patients about their symptoms and how their condition impacts their quality of life. He performs exams and tests and offers both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options.

To advance skull base surgery, Dr. Koszewski researches patient outcomes and new techniques to improve how patients feel in the long term.

During his free time, Dr. Koszewski enjoys running, reading, traveling and spending time with family.

I work to give my patients promising treatment choices that will help them feel better and improve their quality of life.
