Erin Miller, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in immediate care. She treats a broad spectrum of acute (sudden onset) illnesses and injuries, from viruses and ear infections to stitches and broken bones. Erin is committed to educating patients about their illness or injury. She explains their treatment plan as well as the reasons behind the treatment. She believes that knowledge is power and that informed patients are better equipped to participate in health care decisions. From early on, Erin knew she wanted to become a nurse practitioner. She was inspired by her childhood primary care provider. Her decision became clear after caring for her grandmother following a serious injury. Erin enjoys the variety of different cases she sees, the procedures she performs and the diverse patients she treats. I want to help patients with their immediate medical needs and empower them to make informed medical choices going forward.
