Eric Schauberger, PhD, DO

Eric Schauberger, DO, is an allergist and immunologist at UW Health Kids Dr. Schauberger works with children of all ages and treats a range of allergy- and immune-related conditions such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, eczema (skin inflammation), dermatitis (skin irritation or rash), hives (swollen skin welts) and food and drug allergies.

Dr. Schauberger evaluates symptoms in children ranging from coughing, sneezing and seasonal allergies to inflammatory reactions to materials like polyester and latex to determine a diagnosis. He also manages immunodeficiencies that cause infections.

Dr. Schauberger performs thorough testing to identify the underlying cause(s) of symptoms. He works closely with children and families to develop appropriate care plans, taking a holistic approach that considers the health impact of lifestyle and environmental factors.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Schauberger is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology, where he also serves as the associate program director for the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program. He also conducts research to identify risks and improve prevention and treatment of asthma and allergies.

In his free time, Dr. Schauberger enjoys hiking, bicycling and visiting national parks with his family. He also enjoys cooking and honing his pizza oven skills.
