About

Christine Heisler, MD, MS is a UW Health female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon and an associate professor and the director of the Division of Female Medicine and Reproductive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Heisler cares for women who are having problems with urination, bowel movements and sexual function. Her special interests include vulvar reconstructive surgery and caring for pediatric and adolescent patients.

Dr. Heisler is passionate about patient education. She works to educate each patient on her condition and treatment options. Dr. Heisler strives to ensure that every patient leaves their appointment feeling hopeful.

She loves providing patient-centered care and involving her patients at every step of their health care plan. She is grateful for the opportunity and ability to care for women surgically every day.

Dr. Heisler conducts research in the areas of gender equity in surgery and surgical education. She is involved in educating the rising generation of surgeons and loves being part of their journey.

Outside of work, she enjoys fly fishing and biking.
