About

Christina Bryndzia, DO, is a UW Health Kids pediatric critical care doctor. Dr. Bryndzia provides sedation for children undergoing short medical procedures or imaging procedures.

She regularly cares for children who have cancer and need regular chemotherapy injections or bone marrow biopsies. She also sees children who need long-term line placements, such as a PICC line, for administering medication.

She entered the medical profession to continue learning about the human body and how it functions. Dr. Bryndzia has a true passion for working with children and developing meaningful relationships with their families as she helps them navigate the medical system.

An assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Bryndzia’s research focuses on quality improvement projects. She is currently working to improve efficiency in screening and scheduling patients for deep sedation.. She also enjoys working on projects to improve interdepartmental communication revolving around patient care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bryndzia enjoys a variety of hobbies, including canoeing, kayaking, hiking, reading and cooking.

I understand that some people — particularly children — are fearful of medical procedures. I pass no judgment as I try to bring as much comfort and ease to my patients as possible.
