Charles Chung, MD, is a UW Health obstetrician and gynecologist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Chung provides the full range of gynecologic and obstetric health care to patients in all phases of life, from menarche (first period) to menopause (last period) and beyond.

Dr. Chung diagnoses and treats common and complex women’s health conditions ranging from irregular menstrual periods and other gynecologic and reproductive health disorders to pregnancy-related concerns in mothers and babies. He provides wellness checks, contraception and birth control consultation, and prenatal care throughout pregnancy. In addition to delivering babies, he also performs gynecologic surgeries.

To optimize patient health, Dr. Chung provides comprehensive evaluation, education and wellness care. He listens actively to understand patients’ challenges, goals and concerns. His care plans could include medical or surgical treatments with personalized follow-up care and multispecialty services. He believes listening and being on the same page is crucial to getting the best outcomes.

In his free time, Dr. Chung is a car enthusiast who also appreciates nature, amateur photography and the challenge of capturing the best shots to share on social media.
