About

Cari Meyer, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric anesthesiologist. She’s also an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

As a specialist in pain management and critical care medicine, Dr. Meyer provides anesthesia (pain medicine) for children of all ages during complex surgeries and straightforward outpatient procedures. She carefully monitors her patients before, during and after their operations.

With a special clinical interest in pediatric cardiac anesthesia, Dr. Meyer cares for a wide range of patients with heart trouble. They include premature babies who need heart surgery in their first days of life, teens who need open heart surgery and adults who had heart procedures in childhood and need repeat surgery.

Her goal is to provide patients with the highest level of care — the same care she would want for her family members.

I help my patients stay safe and comfortable during very challenging times in their lives.
