Ann Grob, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor and clinical substance abuse counselor at UW Health. Ann treats people who struggle with substance abuse and mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management and addiction.

Her special interests include caring for people who are addicted to alcohol and drugs and working with family members who are impacted by their loved one’s addictions. Ann offers both group and individual therapy.

During treatment sessions, Ann uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, such as mindfulness therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Her methods are personalized to the patient and their needs.

With each client, Ann works to provide a safe place for individuals to seek care and express their true thoughts and feelings without judgement.

When not treating patients and families, Ann enjoys hiking, yoga, painting and drawing.

It’s important to support people struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues and give them expert treatment without judgement.
