About

Ann Braus, MD, is a UW Health geriatrician and an assistant clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine.

She provides general primary care for older patients, usually those over 65. This age group is more likely to have chronic health conditions or neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia.

As a geriatrician, Dr. Braus treats many complex issues that affect older adults. When meeting a patient for the first time, she strives to understand both their medical history and life history. Understanding what is important to her patients helps Dr. Braus provide the best care and recommendations to meet their needs. She makes sure to use familiar terminology and helps them understand their diagnosis and treatment plan.

In her free time, Dr. Braus enjoys traveling, biking, skiing and rock climbing with her husband and daughter.

My hope for my patients is that they feel comfortable and that we do everything possible to improve their quality of life.
