Andrea Gilbertson, PA

Andrea Gilbertson, PA, is a physician assistant at UW Health. She treats heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation and flutters, tachycardia and premature ventricular contractions.

Andrea manages implanted cardiac devices like pacemakers and defibrillators. She also performs direct current cardioversion (DCCV) for atrial arrhythmias, places loop recorders for heart rhythm monitoring and conducts explants (device removals).

Along with the electrophysiology team, Andrea uses a collaborate approach to educate and treat her patients’, so they feel empowered to participate in their health care. She believes that quality care begins and ends with open patient-provider communication.

In her free time, Andrea enjoys being active with her family, traveling and playing golf.
