About

Amanda Meyer, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant who specializes in wound care. Amanda cares for patients of all ages who have severe wounds and burns requiring surgery. She provides care before and after surgical treatment and in the clinic.

Amanda sees patients who have a variety of skin conditions. These can range from non-healing surgical wounds, venous stasis (when veins can’t send blood back to the heart) and arterial trauma (damage to an artery) to burns and severe skin issues such as frostbite.

Using a holistic approach to care, Amanda addresses patients’ emotional needs as well as their physical needs. She finds it rewarding to help her patients live through traumatic, painful experiences and come out on the other side. She enjoys seeing them regain their health and get back to living their lives.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling and spending time outdoors.

We don’t just treat patients’ wounds or burns; we treat the whole human being.
