About

Aaron Eifler, MD, is a UW Health radiologist. He’s also an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Radiology.

Using advanced imaging technology, Dr. Eifler looks inside the body and performs minimally invasive procedures to treat many diseases and medical issues. These issues include blood clots, infections, cancer and uterine fibroids.

One of his special clinical interests is a treatment called prostate artery embolization. Dr Eifler performs this procedure to reduce urinary tract problems in men with an enlarged prostate (also called benign prostatic hyperplasia). His goal with this treatment is to reduce the need for medication and help his patients feel better without performing full open surgery.

Dr. Eifler sees patients in the hospital, clinic and procedure room. When meeting with patients, Dr. Eifler listens closely to their concerns and answers questions. He explains their conditions and treatments using words that are easy to understand.

As a researcher, Dr. Eifler is studying new ways to treat advanced kidney disease using the patient’s own stem cells.

When not providing patient care, Dr. Eifler enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, traveling and playing video games.

It’s rewarding to perform minimally invasive treatments that help people feel better and live the life they enjoy.
