Didier Mandelbrot, MD, Pancreas Transplant Medical DirectorThe UW Health Transplant Program is pleased to welcome our new Medical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation — Didier Mandelbrot, MD.


Dr. Mandelbrot is a nephrologist who provides care for patients with kidney diseases and for those who have undergone a kidney or pancreas transplant.


In his practice, Dr. Mandelbrot specializes in managing patients with advanced kidney disease and kidney transplant candidates and recipients. He has performed research on anti-rejection treatments and living kidney donors, and has received several National Institutes of Health grants for his living kidney donor outcomes.


Previously, Dr. Mandelbrot was acting medical director for kidney and pancreas transplantation for The Transplant Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass.
