Dancing to Promote Organ, Tissue and Eye Donation
What does the tango have to do with organ donation? Come January 23, you could see for yourself if you attend the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin's Spotlight on Life, an annual event that works to raise funds for organ, tissue and eye donation.
In this Dancing with the Stars style competition, "celebrity" dancers team up with a professional dancer to perform at the event. This year, nine dancers from across the state will dance their way to the spotlight at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. UW Health will be represented at the event by Kathy Schultz, Sr. Marketing Consultant for the UW Health Transplant Program and UW Organ and Tissue Donation, Donate Life Wisconsin Marketing Chair and creator of Dottie Donor Dot, Wisconsin's donation mascot.
"I love to dance, and this event is a great opportunity for me to continue the conversation about the importance of registering as a donor," says Kathy. "I am excited to represent UW Health and am embracing this opportunity to educate more people about this mission."
