Aqua Flow is a simple relaxation exercise class that includes Ai Chi movements performed in shoulder-deep warm water using a combination of deep breathing and slow, broad movements to promote health. The "flow" in Aqua Flow refers to both the inward focus on the breath as well as the controlled, sweeping, flowing movements of the body. The emphasis on controlled breathing creates a meditative state similar to those of other mindfulness practices. Operating in their normal range-of-movement, participants develop flexibility, balance and a greater breathing capacity. Aqua Flow is appropriate for all fitness levels.
