Audience: Adult and pediatric registered nurses new to oncology practice or experienced RNs looking for a refresher course

 

Course Content: This program is based on the most current versions of a number of publications and guidelines available from the Oncology Nursing Society, including:

  • Access Device Guidelines:  Recommendations for Nursing Practice and Education
  • Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs
  • Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Practice

Purpose: After completion of this course, RNs will be prepared and/or will reinforce previous knowledge surrounding administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy and management of side effects for the patient undergoing systemic cancer treatments.
