Title Symptom Burden, Co-Occurrence, and Trajectories in Children with Advanced Cancer

Objective
Right now, researchers look at medical records to find out what symptoms teenagers and children experience when they have advanced cancer. Most studies do not ask for the perspective of the person themselves.
There are three reasons for doing this study:
  • To learn if children and parents can easily complete a survey about symptoms and quality of life on a smartphone, computer or tablet
  • To learn what symptoms children experience when they have advanced cancer
  • To understand how symptoms impact quality of life
In the future, clinical care teams could use this information to provide better care
