Title UWCCC Rectal and Anal Cancer Registry

Objective The purpose of this study is to investigate your tumor tissue in a laboratory, and to compare the laboratory information with your information about your cancer treatments. We are doing this research because we currently do not have a reliable method for determining which treatment is best for your tumor

Key Eligibility
  • Patients must be ≥ 18 years of age
  • ECOG performance must be 0-2
  • Patients must have a histologically or cytologically confirmed diagnosis of rectal adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal. All rectal cancers must be clinically determined to be locally advanced and non-metastatic, and must be able to be visualized endoscopically. All non-metastatic anal cancer tumors will be included
  • Prior pelvic radiation.
  • Uncontrolled concurrent medical illness or pregnancy that would not allow for the completion of the planned therapy
  • Current or prior metastatic disease
  • Prior chemo- or radiotherapy for the current disease
  • Prior complete local excisions for LARC or anal cancer

  • Applicable Disease Sites Anal; Colon and Rectum
